5 and a half years later and I'm STILL hearing, "We were so happy to finally find someone we can trust with our skin tone.
Hear me out, I can take the compliment and I'm more than happy to be your go to skin girl, but I'm also sad this is still a struggle in the industry.
We have to do better.
Black & Brown families, couples, business owners, and grads deserve to look authentic in their memories and portraits.
For the longest time, and still, we let hair be separate. There are salons who can and who definitely CANNOT do Black hair. That's not going to fly in the photography industry.
If you cannot capture Black and Brown skin well, please find another field!
